Tasting - Norton Torrontés

Name: Norton Torrontés
Variety: 100% Torrontés
Region: Mendoz
Country: Argentina
Year: 2011
Price: $5.95

Vintage Cellar Review:
Greenish yellow with hints of gold, this Torrontés has intense aromas of white peach, rose petal, and jasmine. Norton Torrontés 2011 is pleasant and well balanced on the palate.

My Review: This wine definitely had a floral quality. The scent of jasmine hit the air as soon as the wine left the bottle, yet it tasted mostly of peach. Compared to the Dibon Cava, this Torrontés was quite smooth, but slightly boring. Other than the peach, there wasn't a distinctive "kick" of any flavor - from start to finish, this Torrontés remained rather even and unassuming.
